Collect ingredients. Peel a fresh orange or use leftover peel if you remembered saving it.

Grab a small pot and fill it about 1/4 full of water. Turn on stove to low setting.

Add all spices to your liking, a few drops of vanilla extract, one cinnamon stick, and your orange peel. Stir and wait a bit for it to overcome your kitchen and a little longer throughout the house!

You will have to add more water the longer it simmers. Oil can be used but can burn if it gets too hot.

To use in an oil burner I would substitute orange peel for pure orange extract or sweet orange essential oil. Also leave out cinnamon stick! Almond extract would be a nice add to this recipe! Enjoy!
