How to bake a loaf of bread

After mixing the ingredients, grease a bowl with butter, margarine, oil, or baking spray. Place the dough in it and turn it around so that the dough is also coated. Cover and leave in a warm place.

After 45 minutes, check how much the dough has risen by poking it with a finger. Punch down and hand-knead lightly with just enough flour to prevent dough from sticking to the board.

Spray the loaf pan or butter and then flour it. Knock the pan against the counter to remove excess flour.

If making mini loaves, divide the dough into sections.

Shape the dough (in any way that you choose as dough is very forgiving). Place seam-side down into the pan. Cover and leave to rise for 45 more minutes.

Dough should have risen a few inches above the edge of the pan. Heat oven for a few minutes before putting the loaf into the oven to bake. Bake at temperature recommended by the recipe.

Bake for the length of time the recipe suggests. To test for if bread is fully cooked, knock (like at a door) the top, it should sound hollow & no dents. Thanks for viewing.
